We at Custom Feathers are interested in buying and/or trading merchandise for your wild turkey parts.
All Turkey parts/feathers must be kept clean and dry with minimal blood, dirt etc. and free of bug damage to receive top price quotes. We reserve the right to dock prices for excess dirt, blood, dampness, missing parts etc. All raw parts need to be frozen in individual bags (wings paired) ASAP.
The parts we are interested in are:
Turkey gobbler heads during the spring season only.
Heads must be free of beak damage and have minimal or no skin damage to nect area. Cut heads at least 2" below wattles on the neck. Heads need to be frozen withiln no more than 24 hours of kill. Freeze individually in quart size Zip-lock bags. NO JAKE HEADS PLEASE!

Turkey wings
Wings with all 3 bones are preferred but not mandatory. Disconnect wings from body of the turkey at the shoulder joint after it has been "breasted".

Turkey tail fans
These need to be clean and dry with no or minimal shot damage. Prefer fresh frozen or the tail clump can be thoroughly boraxed to prevent spoilage. Tail fans need to be removed from body in complete clump encasing all of the bronze banded feathers on the back of the turkey. In other words, cut the tail fans long.

Turkey beards and beard collections.
Interested in beards 6 inches in length or longer. Must be free of shot and/or bug damage with no loose strands. Prefer beards to be cut from the body of the turkey leaving a bit of flesh attached and treated with borax as opposed to beards that are pulled from the body of the turkey.

Jake/Hen Beards -- $.50 each
Turkey feet with spurs.
Interested in matching sets only with spurs having a minimum length of 1 inch. Prefer feet to be fresh frozen instead of dried.

SHIPPING
Shipping charges will be the responsibility of the party sending the turkey parts/or feathers. Custom Feathers will reimburse half of shipping charges for goods with a value of up to $100. Custom Feathers will fully reimburse shipping charges for goods exceeding $100. We will supply bags, just ask for them.
